Hello Little Mermaid Parents and Actors,
WOW!! ---whoever would have expected that we would be still waiting to put on a show at this point....... The good news is.....there are some opportunities available to us to make this happen! We have had to wait to see when things would start to open...but now that we are starting to see a possible light at the end of the tunnel...it's time to move forward! Mr. Singewald and I have been in communication and assessing the situation. What we have decided at this time is that there is a possibility that we could have a show at the end of July. With that being said, and monitoring the ability to do this as Governor Walz continues to open up things going forward, I would like to know who would be able to participate in putting on a show at the end of July. This is what the scenario would look like: --start Zoom meeting practices with smaller groups with lines the week of June 20th --All lines/songs HAVE to be memorized by the start of in-person practices ( i think you might have time to make this happen) --start in-person practices the week of June 29th or July 6th --practices would be held during the day, in smaller groups, until we are ready to pull everything together. I would meet with groups in both the morning and afternoon during this time. --Our tech week would be the week of July 27th and practices would be during the day. (There would not be a Saturday tech day) --we would present the play Friday July 31st and Saturday August 1st in the evening at 7:00pm------with this there could be a limit to how many family members could attend--again--depending on updates from Governor Walz------- --we have the rights to videotape the show so there are many options with this...including the possibility of looking into streamlining it so others could see it. What I need to know at this point would be-----Are you still able to participate and be in the show with the given information and where we are at in this situation? If I have enough participants able to still do this----we will go ahead. If you cannot, and I understand if that is the situation, I will recast the part--- if it is one that is necessary. What I ask of you, use this link to fill out a quick form regarding your student's availability. CLICK HERE FOR FORM!! I want to make this work for the students---they deserve the opportunity to do this if we can make it work!!!! I look forward to your response and am available to answer any questions. Please feel free to text/call me with your concerns, or email them. I look forward to making this happen! I still plan on getting married in August...so as we like to say...the show must go on...and we will however we can in a safe way! I miss you all! Ms. Becker 612-900-5912 [email protected]
